5. AI, Analytics, And Derived Knowledge
We may analyze User Content and service activity to operate, improve, and develop Wedge-Planner and related technologies. This analysis may include project data, feature data, geometry, calculations, outputs, previews, comments, public content, engagement data, and usage patterns.
We may use those learnings for product improvement, service operation, security, analytics, automated systems, AI-assisted functionality, feature development, future technologies, future products, and future commercial offerings.
This analysis does not transfer ownership of your original designs or other original User Content to us. Users own their designs. W3MediaLabs owns the platform, technology, generalized knowledge, product improvements, and future systems built from operating the platform, as described in the Terms.
6. Shared, Public, And Community Content
If you choose to make content public or shared through Wedge-Planner, that content and related metadata may be visible to other people according to the feature you use. This may include public preview pages, feature submissions, galleries, comments, future forums, community surfaces, marketing examples, educational content, or product demonstrations.
If public comments or contact features are enabled, we may use supplied contact details to route messages, notify authors, prevent abuse, and preserve relevant moderation or consent records.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Hosting, infrastructure, storage, monitoring, and security providers that help us operate and protect Wedge-Planner;
- Payment processors that process subscriptions, invoices, taxes, cancellations, and billing support;
- Email and communications providers that deliver account, service, legal, marketing, support, verification, reminder, and notification messages;
- Analytics and product-improvement providers that help us understand usage, reliability, engagement, and product health;
- AI or automated-system providers where used to provide, evaluate, secure, or improve AI-assisted or automated product functionality;
- other users or the public when you intentionally use a public, shared, gallery, comment, forum, preview, or community feature;
- professional advisors, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or legal authorities when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate misuse, enforce policies, or respond to legal process;
- a successor or transaction counterparty in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, asset sale, restructuring, or similar corporate event, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell private project designs as standalone design files.
8. Cookies, Local Storage, And Analytics
We use cookies, local storage, and similar mechanisms to keep you signed in, protect forms, remember preferences, support editor state, measure usage, prevent abuse, and improve the product. Some analytics and telemetry are first-party, and some may be provided through service providers we use to operate Wedge-Planner.
9. Email, Leads, And Marketing Choices
We send account, security, billing, legal, verification, closure-retention, and service emails when needed to operate Wedge-Planner. We may also send lifecycle or marketing emails where permitted, including onboarding, project-trial, engagement, more-information, product-update, and educational follow-ups.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails through the link in those emails or through available settings. Transactional, legal, security, billing, verification, retention, and service emails may still be sent when required for account or product operation.
If you opt in to learn more about Wedge-Planner through a preview comment flow, homepage form, event, or similar channel, we may store your email address, consent text, consent version, source, engagement history, and related metadata so we can follow up and honor your choices.
10. Retention, Account Closure, Erasure, And Backups
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain backups, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, support product development, maintain security, and protect Wedge-Planner.
Recoverable closure. An approved Close Account request ends access and billing, revokes active sessions and public preview links, removes public or gallery exposure, and privately archives the account. Projects, Features, editor state, histories, assignments, notes, owned files, and related private data are retained for exactly two years so the owner can recover the account by strong email verification. We send retention reminders approximately 90 and 30 days before the scheduled pruning date. Recovery does not automatically restart billing or public sharing.
At the two-year anniversary, a closed account becomes eligible for governed pruning; a timestamp alone does not authorize deletion. A legal, security, billing, administrative, or litigation hold may pause pruning. The account email remains reserved during the recoverable period.
User-initiated irreversible erasure. Permanent erasure is separate from closure. Initiation requires an authenticated session, the current password, an explicit typed confirmation, and an emailed single-use code stored by us only as a digest. The code cannot be used for 24 hours and expires seven days after issuance. Confirmation again requires the current password and an explicit irreversible phrase. Successful confirmation fences the account and queues governed deletion or anonymization. This path is intended to be irreversible and does not provide ordinary account recovery.
Erasure and pruning may retain narrowly necessary billing, tax, legal, security, anti-abuse, audit, consent, suppression, dispute, or transaction evidence where lawful. Aggregate analytics, de-identified information, generalized learnings, and product improvements may remain where they no longer identify the account.
Stored forms and generated outputs. Canonical application data may include database records, JSON/editor state, design and Feature histories, notes, material assignments, gallery media, thumbnails, governance exports, search indexes, logs, and backups. Ordinary PDF and 3MF project outputs are generally generated from canonical project data when requested rather than serving as the project source; a generated file may still be retained when needed for a verified privacy request, support, security, or legal evidence.
Backups are isolated from ordinary product use and age out under the applicable backup-retention schedule. A disaster-recovery restoration must reapply completed-erasure evidence so restored data is not returned to ordinary use. We do not promise immediate removal from every backup copy or restoration of a closed account from a backup.
We do not automatically delete an account merely because a subscription is cancelled, a payment fails, the account is inactive, a quota is reached, access is suspended, or an administrator disables access. Those events are access or retention states unless a separate authorized closure or erasure workflow applies.
We do not guarantee permanent storage, indefinite retention, recovery of erased data, recovery after the two-year closure period, or restoration from backups.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your Choices And Rights
You can update certain account information, measurement settings, units, billing controls, and email preferences from within Wedge-Planner. Settings clearly separates an account-wide privacy export, recoverable two-year closure, and delayed irreversible erasure. You may contact us if you need help accessing, correcting, deleting, or exporting account information, subject to technical, legal, retention, security, identity-verification, and abuse-prevention constraints.
Removing content or closing an account does not automatically remove backups, logs, aggregate analytics, de-identified information, generalized learnings, or product improvements already derived from prior operation of the service.
13. Children's Privacy
Wedge-Planner is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly provide the service to children.
14. Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material updates may be presented in the product, by email, or both, and we may require acceptance of a new legal version before continued use of protected parts of the service.
